Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Tech II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a remote/mobile role. You will work in a day shift from 11am to 7:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday, traveling extensively to service fleets and trailers.

The role emphasizes independent work, adherence to DOT and OSHA regulations, and documenting work with our TRAIT system. Company offers growth and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

HD diploma or GED with related field experience (3 years) OR higher qualification/5 years related field experience.
Possess and supply a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
DOT/FMCSA compliance and safety standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy trucks in a mobile/field environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems and related components.
Inspect and service trailers including brakes, air lines and liftgates.
Road test vehicles to verify repairs and safety.
Maintain and manage parts inventory and service truck prep.
Document work and upload RO details using company TRAIT app.
