Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel & Trailer Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking and engine systems on trucks and trailers, road test to confirm fixes, and manage parts on a company truck while documenting findings via TRAIT on iOS.

Must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements, have 3 years of related field experience (or 5 years), and possess basic hand tools and ASE certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, engine, and braking systems on trucks and trailers.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document work via the TRAIT app on iOS.
• Adhere to DOT, FMCSA and OSHA safety standards in all activities.
