Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Mobile Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty truck repairs at customer sites in the Springdale area, AR.

The role involves developing relationships with customers, achieving labor sales targets, coordinating repair orders, and promoting preventive maintenance and related services to assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' heavy-duty truck repair experience.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required.
• Class A or B CDL and/or DOT medical card may be required depending on the size of the mobile service vehicle.
• Must be self-motivated with little supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty truck equipment.
• Coordinates repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment.
• Advises customer of needed service work and suggests additional labor, parts and body shop sales.
• Follows safety practices and maintains company vehicles and safe work environment.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
• Creates and closes repair orders in the MHC system and documents work done.
• Controls expenses and manages tooling and parts inventory on the service truck.
• Oversees operations of assigned customers in territory and calls on key accounts.
• Introduces preventive maintenance and promotions and provides literature as needed.
• Responsible for achieving labor sales objectives and quotas for assigned accounts.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
