Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• NC AWWA Meter Services Technician Certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
• 1+ years of technical field experience related to water meters, backflow prevention, water quality, and system testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform water meter change-outs and related installation and maintenance activities.
• Detect and investigate leaks on water services and mains.
• Inspect and test backflow prevention devices.
• Flush and test fire hydrants.
• Read and interpret strip maps and water block sheets to support field activities.
• Troubleshoot service and equipment issues following Water Resources policies.
