Job summary

Disc Medicine seeks a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to cover the Mid-Atlantic territory (NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC, VA, WV, NC, SC). This hybrid role allows remote work or from our Watertown, MA headquarters.

The MSL will build relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and payers to advance clinical development programs. You will engage in scientific exchange on EPP and other hematologic diseases, support trials and IITs, and collaborate with Clinical Development and Medical Information.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, DNP, or MSc) or equivalent.
• 3+ years in biopharma as MSL or related field-based medical affairs role.
• Experience in hematology, dermatology, or rare disease preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory to engage with KOLs and HCPs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as field-based scientific resource and extension of Disc Medicine Medical Affairs.
• Identify and develop deep relationships with academic and community-based KOLs, HCPs, institutions and investigators across hematology, dermatology, and rare disease communities.
• Engage in compliant peer-to-peer scientific exchange on disease state and unmet medical needs; respond to information requests.
• Support company-sponsored trials, IITs, research collaborations, and expanded access.
• Gather and communicate actionable field insights to inform Disc Medicine strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and provide scientific training to internal teams; ensure compliance with guidelines.
