Job summary

Doyon Technical Services, LLC (DMS) is supporting a 5-month federal construction project at Hill AFB, Utah, with a Mechanical QC Specialist role focused on ensuring construction quality of mechanical features on site.

The candidate will monitor compliance with drawings and specs, review submittals, coordinate with the QC Manager and subcontractors, and participate in inspections and closeout activities while adhering to safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer with a current Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration and a minimum of two years of experience.
• Minimum of five years of experience supervising mechanical features of work in the field for a construction company.
• Ability to be physically present on the project site during mechanical features of work.

Responsibilities

• Be physically present on the project site during mechanical features of work as required.
• Monitor mechanical construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications and approved requirements.
• Review mechanical drawings, specs, approved submittals, and RFIs to support field quality control activities.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control Manager, Superintendent, project team, and mechanical subcontractors.
• Assist with inspections, testing, and verification activities for mechanical construction.
• Document mechanical field observations for quality control records and reports.
• Attend project, quality control, or mechanical coordination meetings as requested.
• Follow safety, environmental, and site-specific requirements.
