Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing at our Saint Francisville, LA site. You will manage materials and major equipment, adhering to policy and procedures while supporting project delivery.

You will review shipments, maintain MRRS/MIRs/OS&Ds, coordinate with stakeholders, and keep documentation up to date. Strong communication, teamwork, and on-site construction experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent.
• 2–5 years capital equipment material control preferred.
• 2+ years on-site experience within large-scale construction projects.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Office.
• 2+ years using MM software and/or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Interest in pursuing Construction Management or Procurement.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Saint Francisville, LA.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review shipment release documentation and approve shipments per PO terms.
• Advise stakeholders on shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs and OS&Ds.
• Maintain a repository of material control documentation.
• Identify and address material control risks and issues.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project teams.
• Work under close supervision with no direct reports.
• Coordinate with project personnel to perform material control activities.
• Maintain preservation activities register for materials.
