Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. You will manage material control activities for major capital equipment under supervision, applying basic procurement principles and project delivery processes.

You will work with the Manager of Material Control and Project Procurement Manager to support field operations, review documentation, and maintain accurate material records while collaborating with project teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent project experience in relevant field.
• 2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience preferred.
• 2+ years on-site experience in large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience with Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• Proficiency with MS Office; Excel in particular.
• 2+ years in Materials Management software/ERP (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, tools, and supplier expectations.
• Review shipment release documentation and ensure approvals per PO terms and Material Control plan.
• Advise stakeholders on shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, OS&D reports, and preservation activities.
• Maintain material control documentation and identify risks; coordinate OS&D resolution.
• Work under supervision with no direct reports and coordinate with project/department personnel.
