Jacobs in Saint Francisville, LA is seeking a Field Material Controller to manage field material control for major capital equipment within Advanced Manufacturing projects. You will perform material receiving, issuing, and documentation under supervision.

The role emphasizes experience with procurement processes, MS Office, and on-site work, with OSHA certification preferred and a path toward Construction Management or Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate. OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience using MS Office tools and intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
• 2+ years of experience with Materials Management software and/or Enterprise Purchasing Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Smart Materials).

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review Shipment Release Request documentation and ensure shipment authorizations are PO-compliant.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and the shipment authorization process.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs and OS&D reports.
• Maintain a materials preservation activity register.
• Identify and remedy material control risk areas.
• Maintain material control documentation in a repository.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project/department teams.
