Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA, focusing on materials management of major capital equipment and materials with guidance from senior staff.

You will support field material control transactions, maintain documentation, and work to mitigate material control risks in a dynamic project environment. On-site presence required with a hybrid work policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience using Materials Management software and/or Enterprise Purchasing Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review Shipment Release Request related supplier documentation and ensure approvals per purchase order and Material Control Execution Plan.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and the authorization process.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), Material Issue Requests (MIRs) and OS&Ds.
• Maintain a registry of Materials requiring preservation activities.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project or departmental personnel.
