Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. You will manage field material control activities for major capital equipment and materials under defined procedures, reporting to the Manager of Material Control.

You’ll work closely with the Project Procurement Manager and Materials Lead as part of a collaborative team. The role requires on-site work in Saint Francisville, LA with a focus on following established policies, reviewing shipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of on-site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience in Advanced Manufacturing projects is ideal.
• MS Excel skills (intermediate to advanced).
• 2+ years of experience with Materials Management software / Enterprise Purchasing Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Smart Materials).
• Interest in pursuing Construction Management or Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review shipment release requests and ensure PO terms are met.
• Advise stakeholders on shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, and OS&D reports.
• Maintain a materials preservation register and related documentation.
• Coordinate with project/department personnel on material control activities.
