Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing, based on-site at the Saint Francisville, LA project. You will manage field material control activities for major capital equipment, following defined procedures under supervision, and coordinating with the Project Procurement Manager and Materials Lead.

You will develop understanding of material control processes, review shipment releases, and administer material receiving reports, MIRs, and OS&Ds, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project experience in business, construction, supply chain, or operations management.
• 2–5 years of capital equipment material control experience preferred.
• 2+ years site experience in large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction minimum; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience with Materials Management software and procurement processes (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite).
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Understand material control processes, procurement principles, and project delivery methods.
• Use established policies and tools to execute tasks.
• Review shipment release documentation and authorize shipments per PO terms.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, and OS&D reports; maintain preservation registers.
