Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Market Development Representative to drive growth across grocery, liquor, and convenience channels in the Asheville area. You’ll lead brand-building efforts, partner with distributors, and execute programs that boost distribution and shelf presence.

You will analyze sales data, identify opportunities, and travel within your territory, with non-traditional hours to meet customers. A bachelor's degree and at least 1 year in field sales are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional field sales experience in alcohol-beverage or CPG.
• New college graduates with a sales internship or related experience are encouraged.
• Proven volume achievements and ability to meet distribution and retail goals.
• Experience using sales data analytics to drive results.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within territory.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
• Live in or near the territory and capable of covering travel expenses.

Responsibilities

• Craft and implement solutions to boost business for assigned accounts, increasing market share for Sazerac brands.
• Lead distributors with in-store selling, marketing, and account execution.
• Help achieve volume objectives for core brands across a diverse portfolio.
• Implement programs delivering on distribution, merchandising, and retail promotions goals.
• Develop mutual rapport with customers by understanding their needs and requirements.
• Coordinate communication between customers, wholesalers, and internal teams to align goals.
