Job summary

Chartis Federal is seeking a Field Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, fault isolation, and sustainment support for CBP mobile surveillance systems. The role covers 165 MVSS and 90 MSC-Lite platforms, supporting Border Patrol operations along the southern and northern borders.

This technician will perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mobile surveillance platforms, tactical communications, and Land Mobile Radio equipment to minimize

Qualifications

• 3+ years in tactical communications installation/maintenance.
• Valid state driver’s license; travel required.
• Crane operator certification or ability to obtain in 180 days.
• U.S. citizenship; CBP background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mobile surveillance, tower, and sensor network systems.
• Troubleshoot and restore proprietary system software to full operation.
• Document maintenance actions and asset condition in ILSS/Maximo.
• Travel locally/regionally up to 25% within the area of operation.
