Job summary

MAA Area Service Technician travels between a select group of properties within a local market to perform general maintenance and repairs on apartment units and facilities. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry under supervision of the service manager.

The role requires 2-3 years of relevant experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of HVAC and general facility maintenance and repair required.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification required.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance teams with service work orders including preventive maintenance.
• Repair HVAC components, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
• Perform minor to moderate electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Repair locks, painting, and make-ready projects for vacant units.
• Coordinate with vendors for advanced repairs as needed.
