Job summary

Mobile Communications America seeks a Communication Systems Technician to install, troubleshoot, and upgrade land mobile radio systems in the Georgetown, TX area. You will design customer solutions, deploy firmware updates, and provide ongoing technical support to diverse clients including public safety and healthcare sectors.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of hands-on mobile comms experience, familiarity with testing tools, and a customer-first attitude.

Qualifications

At least two (2) years of experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing mobile communications equipment.
Experience with testing equipment such as spectrum analyzers, watt meters, TDRs, FDRs and multi-meters.
Understanding of or willingness to learn two-way radio theory.
Experience with Motorola Solutions technologies or competitors is a plus.
Team-focused with a passion to meet customer needs.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; able to work with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Associate degree in Electronics, IT, Telecommunications or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Valid driver's license required; ability to pass background and drug screening and MVR.
Must be able to work inside/outside in various conditions and pass safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Install, program, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair LMR systems and related equipment.
Design and upgrade customer systems to latest technologies.
Perform minor circuitry modifications and deploy updates.
Provide technical support and communicate system performance to customers.
Complete service tickets and documentation within timelines.
Collaborate with Service Manager and customers; participate in on-call rotation.
Adhere to safety standards and established procedures.
Travel to Georgetown and surrounding areas as needed; company take-home vehicle provided.
