Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking a Superintendent Intern/Co-op in Memphis to gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of construction projects. You will work alongside experienced field leaders on-site, supporting field operations, safety, scheduling, and coordination tasks to ensure progress aligns with plans and timelines.

This internship emphasizes learning through real-world site activities, plan and drawing reviews, and daily reporting, while developing professional skills and industry

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering undergraduate or graduate program.
• Driver’s License.
• Excellent verbal communication and attention to detail; strong work ethic.
• Co‑op or intern experience in construction preferred, but not required.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to field operations from site mobilization through project completion.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and learn how to promote a strong safety culture.
• Assist with coordinating subcontractor activities and monitoring progress to keep projects on schedule.
• Observe and support quality inspections to ensure work meets plans and ARCO standards.
• Attend subcontractor coordination meetings, owner walkthroughs, and project planning discussions.
