Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Field Engineer - Trimble Designer CAD to support field layout from contract documents, including duct, pipe, conduits, elevations and hangers, in collaboration with field crews and in-house designers.

The role requires 2–3 years surveying experience, CAD proficiency, Trimble experience, and strong problem-solving skills. A valid driver’s license is required; on-site position in Richmond.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in surveying or equivalent.
• Two years CAD experience.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Current valid driver's license.
• Good work ethic, self-starter and deadline-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Field environment work in varying conditions.
• Assist field crews and customers with layout details.
• Use CAD software for layout drawings.
• Operate Trimble software and hardware.
• Apply 3D spatial thinking to layouts and elevations.
• Maintain equipment and calibrations; perform other duties as assigned.
