Job summary

ERM is hiring Right of Way (ROW) Agents across multiple locations in the U.S. to support pipeline and electric transmission projects. These project-term, field-based roles require acquisition of land, licenses, leases, permits and other documents with 100% travel.

ROW Agents handle negotiations, settlement of claims, and preparation of rights for project access. Strong real estate knowledge, reporting, and communication skills are essential for success in remote work environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3 to 6 years of ROW experience.
• Knowledge of real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Must be able to work in remote locations for long periods.
• Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
• Ability to work across oral and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diverse and complex negotiations with land owners (or their designees).
• Work on settlement of complex damage claims with land owners (or their designees).
• Search courthouse and other records to determine present property ownership and extent of interest.
• Advise and assist in establishing a range of fair market values for land and land rights.
• Draft and/or supervise documents for rights of entry, damage claims, contracts, easements, licenses, leases, permits, options to purchase and other documents for project rights.
• Comply with corporate health and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
