Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is hiring a Field Technician 2 to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, bituminous materials, masonry, and reinforcing steel. You will conduct tests such as field density, Proctor density, plastic concrete testing, and hand auger borings while reporting results and maintaining equipment.

The ideal candidate has an associates or technical degree with 3+ years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year.

Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree in a related field with 3+ years of related experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Other certifications may be required depending on project needs.
• Strong communication and practical field testing skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, bituminous materials, masonry, and reinforcing steel per QA/QC procedures.
• Report test results accurately and promptly to project managers and clients.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory and field equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Coordinate with project staff and contribute to various field and lab projects as needed.
