Job summary

American Engineering Testing Inc. in St Paul, Minnesota, is seeking a Field and Laboratory Technician 2 to perform testing of soils, concrete, bituminous materials, masonry, and reinforcing steel, ensuring QA/QC compliance and accurate data collection.

You will conduct field density tests, Proctor density on soils, plastic concrete testing, and hand auger borings under project manager direction, while maintaining equipment and reporting results with safety in mind.

Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree in a related field, with 3+ years of related experience; or Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Other certifications may be required.
• Ability to perform field and laboratory testing in accordance with QA/QC procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, bituminous materials, masonry and reinforcing steel.
• Report test results and communicate with project managers, clients, contractors and other project personnel.
• Observe excavations and correlate observations with soil boring logs; perform hand auger borings under project manager direction.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure data quality.
