Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks a Field Technician I to conduct field and laboratory testing of soils to ensure QA/QC compliance and industry standards. The role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a strong safety commitment, supporting AET’s mission for high‑quality testing services.

The position involves field and laboratory work, reporting results, and collaborating with project teams while travel within the regional area is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year vocational or college degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, plastics, concrete, bituminous, or masonry products.
• Conduct field density and Proctor density tests of soils.
• Perform laboratory testing of materials per ASTM/ACI standards.
• Report test results and communicate with project manager and clients.
• Maintain laboratory and field equipment and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Coordinate with staff to improve efficiency and productivity.
