Job summary

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team supports over 500 customers across biopharma, pharma, and industrial sectors with customizable laboratory operations. The role involves coordinating across facilities, travel to client sites, and ensuring timely procurement of lab supplies.

You will engage with management, drive SOPs and training, and support SAP-based processes. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and travel as needed, with a base in the Greater Boston area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or undergraduate degree in a business or science-related field is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in Inventory control/procurement/shipping and receiving/Inside Sales, etc., a plus
• Microsoft Suite experience is required
• Overnight travel is required; overnight travel bonus available
• Will use own vehicle and ability to fly if traveling farther
• Sites require associates to be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Prior experience in a GMP facility is strongly desired
• Cross-referencing and inside sales experience are a plus
• CDL is a plus, not a requirement
• Knowledge of Avantor products and services is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support multiple facilities and/or customers in a strategic geographic area.
• Travel outside of designated territory may be required.
• Coordinate and lead team efforts to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with management on SOPs, Scopes of Work, and training.
• Interface with customer contacts to procure lab supplies and materials.
• Utilize SAP, Inventory Manager, Chemical Manager, and other applications.
• Train Avantor Lab and Production Services associates on offerings.
• Provide SAP support including credit rebills and invoice scrubbing.
• Maintain quality metrics and budget related to expenses.
• Meet revenue, TOE, safety, and quality goals; drive service efficiencies.
