Job summary

Avantor in the Greater Boston area seeks a Services Operations Specialist to support multiple facilities in inventory control, procurement and lab services. You will coordinate with Lab and Production Services professionals to fulfill client requirements, travel as needed, and use SAP and inventory tools to ensure accurate materials handling.

The role requires strong communication, experience in GMP-adjacent settings, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with potential overnight travel and a base

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; plus business or science degree preferred.
• 3+ years in inventory control, procurement, shipping/receiving or inside sales.
• Overnight travel required with potential travel bonus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple facilities and customers across a geographic area.
• Coordinate with management on SOPs, scopes, and training.
• Interface with customer contacts to procure lab supplies and materials.
• Use SAP, Inventory Manager, and Chemical Manager for operations.
• Train associates on service offerings and provide SAP support.
• Manage budgets, and meet safety, quality, and performance goals.
