Job summary

Terracon Consultants, Inc. is seeking a field/lab technician to perform testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will collect samples, prepare reports, and communicate results to project managers and client representatives.

Under supervision, you will assist with testing, document findings clearly, and help maintain equipment and safety on site. Some travel and scheduling support may be involved as you progress in responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of internal safety certifications.
• 6 months experience preferred.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate project requirements and results with team and client representatives.
• Transport material samples to the laboratory with identifying documentation.
• Tabulate and submit data in written and digital reports for daily submittal.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
• Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to sites; follow safety standards.
• Maintain quality standards on all projects and follow pre-task safety planning.
