Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience supporting, installing, troubleshooting, testing, diagnosing, repairing and replacing computer equipment, network equipment and/or peripheral equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) entities to resolve technology issues.
• Tests and repairs computer equipment.
• Utilizes the HCPSS ITSM system to address customer requests per SLAs.
• Communicates effectively with staff, administration and coworkers.
• Interacts with vendors and contractors to maintain system performance.
• Maintains knowledge of current technology trends as they relate to HCPSS.
• Maintains all work tools, workspace, equipment and vehicles.
