Job summary

Southland Holdings is seeking an IT Support Technician I to provide on-site and remote technical support for our jobsites and remote offices across North America. You will be the first point of contact for employees’ technology needs and will work closely with senior IT staff to grow your skills.

This entry-level role emphasizes customer service, hardware/software troubleshooting, and a foundation in networking.

Qualifications

Willingness to work some nights and weekends as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, responsive first-level support to office, field, and remote employees via phone, email, ticketing system, and in person.
Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues, and elevate more complex problems to senior IT staff with clear documentation.
Install, set up, and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, printers, and other common peripherals.
Support and set up mobile devices (iOS and Android) for end users.
Assist senior IT staff and Field Operations with setting up IT for new jobsites and remote offices.
Support new employee onboarding, including issuing hardware, setting up user accounts, and walking new users through their equipment and systems.
Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system and help maintain IT documentation and the user knowledge base.
