Job summary

White Cap is seeking an IT Support Technician to guarantee performance and reliability of operational hardware and software used by distribution center teams. You will resolve moderately complex issues escalated by junior technicians and perform hands-on IT tasks including system tests, deployments, and on-site support.

The role involves partnering with corporate IT for networking, telephony, and upgrades, plus travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required; specialized training/certification may be required.
CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification preferred to qualify for the role.

Responsibilities

Serves as primary IT contact for distribution center associates in an assigned region.
Partners with corporate IT teams for on-site networking, telephony, and hardware/software upgrades.
Provides escalated computer support for inbound inventory, outbound shipping, and product delivery operations.
Tests hardware and software to ensure proper functionality (computers, printers, peripherals, handheld devices, telephones).
Maintains and upgrades systems as needed.
Sets up computers and installs various applications and programs.
Provides technical support for hardware and software issues.
Assesses hardware and software to identify problems.
Manages and resolves moderately complex issues escalated by lower level technicians.
Records work in ticket system to track metrics.
