Job summary

Interstates seeks a field-focused IT Craft Support Specialist to deliver hands-on and virtual IT support for jobsites, regional offices, and project locations across the country.

You will assist craft workers, site supervisors, and project teams by maintaining hardware, software, and connectivity, while traveling to ramp-ups, outages, and craft events. The role requires travel and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on IT support in hardware, software, and basic networking.
• Experience supporting field, multi-site or distributed environments preferred.
• Strong written communication for knowledge articles and SOPs.
• Working knowledge of Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365, printers and peripherals.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on and remote IT support for jobsites, regional offices, and project locations.
• Serve as the primary IT presence in the field for craft workers and project teams.
• Troubleshoot, configure, and replace laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, iPads, and video units.
• Support basic jobsite networking and connectivity under direction.
• Capture field knowledge and create knowledge articles and SOPs.
• Coordinate with IT groups to align work with standards.
• Travel up to 50% of time as needed.
• Ensure compliance with security and privacy policies.
