Job summary

Computer Networking Resources is seeking an IT Hardware Installer & Support Technician for our Bloomingdale, IL client base. This entry-level role (0-2 years) combines onsite hardware installation with basic phone and remote support, with potential weekend and overtime as needed.

You will install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, networking gear, and peripherals at client locations, document work, and escalate complex issues to senior staff. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in IT hardware installation or related role.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments.
• Familiarity with basic email/configuration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and set up computers, servers, networking equipment at client sites.
• Perform hardware upgrades and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with cable management and mounting IT equipment.
• Document installations and service requests, including billable time.
• Provide remote and phone IT support; escalate as needed.
