Job summary

Impact Networking, LLC is seeking an IT Field Engineer to deliver onsite service, system installation, and project execution at client sites. You will work with internal teams to support onboarding and maintain high service standards across the MSP environment.

Strong technical and interpersonal skills are required to diagnose issues, document work, and ensure customer satisfaction. Travel to local client locations is expected as part of providing hands-on implementation and ongoing maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT field services.
• Fundamental understanding of Server Administration.
• Experience with Windows 2012-2025 Server.
• Active Directory management and maintenance.
• DNS, DHCP, and Remote Desktop Services.
• Understanding of VMware, Hyper‑V and other virtualization technologies.
• Storage solutions: SAN, NAS, and Shared Storage.
• Fundamental understanding of Firewalls, switches, and other networking technologies.
• Cisco Meraki, HP, and other technologies.
• Backup technologies.
• Office 365, Azure and other cloud solutions.
• Mobile operating systems (iOS, Android, Windows).
• RMM tools such as N‑Able, Kaseya or LabTech.

Responsibilities

• Engage in Business Transformation Assessments with onsite discovery and documentation of IT assets.
• Support client technical activities onsite; setup and troubleshoot Windows Server, Hyper‑V, VMware, Exchange, and related tech.
• Collaborate with Service Desk and Operations to develop maintenance plans and documentation.
• Work with clients' vendors on technical requirements as needed.
• Document and resolve user computing issues onsite with high customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with TOC to resolve issues via structured problem management.
• Engage with vendors and LoB apps to provide efficient field support.
• Timely documentation of issues and onsite labor in Impact’s ticket system.
• Pursue ongoing training and manufacturer certifications.
• Build and sustain relationships with customers and engineers to enhance reputation.
