Job summary

Integrated IT Group is seeking a Field Engineer to support Northeast Ohio client networks, performing needs analysis, installation, training, and issue resolution. Travel to client sites is expected, with some remote work possible for non onsite tasks.

The role emphasizes strong communication, time management, and service skills, with responsibilities spanning from troubleshooting to documenting solutions and leading migrations.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or related field or equivalent certifications.
• 3+ years of onsite design, implementation, and support experience.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of virtualization, cloud computing, and wired/wireless networks.
• End-user desktop support for Microsoft Office, CRM, and ERP software.
• Hands-on experience with server and desktop hardware.
• Experience with LAN/WAN design and remediation, endpoint security.
• Backup and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Detail-oriented with effective time management.
• Able to document knowledge base articles, SOPs, and project plans.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with clients during onsite engagements and follow up in writing.
• Provide exceptional customer service by listening with empathy during project implementations.
• Advise clients on leveraging IT to achieve business goals during visits.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network and system problems.
• Configure and install software, servers, firewalls, backups, and network devices.
• Analyze user needs and recommend network configurations and products.
• Perform client migrations and monitor network performance.
• Document all work and troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.
• Train clients on basic operations and participate in on-call rotations.
• Stay current with technology changes and best practices.
