Job summary

Advantage Technologies is seeking an Information Systems Technician (Field) to install and support client networks onsite. You will install servers, workstations, cabling, mounts, and backup systems, and provide field and remote support as needed.

You won't report to an office daily; you will work from home for support and travel to client sites for on-site service. If you enjoy varied environments and hands-on IT, this is a great fit.

Qualifications

• Willingness and ability to travel to different client offices daily.
• Understanding of Windows based networks including servers, workstations, and core networking concepts.
• Understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, and other basic networking equipment, specifically related to installation and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of printers, scanners, and other standard IT peripherals, specifically related to installation and troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and meet aggressive deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, self-starter.
• Ability to work with technical teams and internal teams to ensure client success.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ConnectWise, Ninja RMM, Screen Connect.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and onsite support to existing client base in cooperation with operations and support center.
• Manage implementation of customer systems including server installations, workstation deployments, and software/network integrations.
• Assist sales team by identifying opportunities and notifying appropriate colleagues of potential needs.
• Log all time and activities clearly in the CRM system.
