Job summary

Arkansas Game & Fish Commission is seeking an IT Asset Manager/Field IT Support Technician to provide asset management and hands-on technical support for end users statewide. You will manage assets from procurement to decommissioning, enforce licensing, maintain CMDB, and partner with procurement to optimize software and hardware costs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Helpdesk or Field technician support.

Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Management: track and manage IT hardware and software assets.
• Software Asset Management: monitor license utilization and manage vendor audits.
• Inventory Control: maintain AMDB/CMDB for real-time asset tracking.
• Procurement & Vendor Relations: review contracts and negotiate pricing.
• Governance & Compliance: establish ITAM policies and workflows.
• Ticketing & Documentation: manage support requests and document configurations.
• Reporting & Analytics: generate reports on asset utilization and lifecycle.
• End-User Support: support for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices across field offices.
• Field Assistance: provide on-site technical leadership and troubleshooting.
