Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Elko, NV is seeking a Solutions Service Specialist to manage inventory at customer sites, perform put-away, replenishment, and maintenance of solution equipment, and drive retention with a customer-focused sale and service mindset.

You will collaborate with sales and business development to log activities, learn SAP, AS400, ASI, Vending Portal, Salesforce, and Tableau, and travel 80%+ to support customer sites while promoting MSC's inventory management solutions and

Qualifications

Experience in at least one of the following is required: Customer Service, Telesales, Outside Sales, Storeroom or Inventory Management, with demonstrated excellence in Customer Engagement within these roles.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and general computer literacy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

Maintain appropriate stock levels (min/max) to meet customer demand.
Receive, unpack, and put away products at all solution points of use.
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on solution equipment to company standards.
Use routing software to log and track daily account activities.
Learn operating systems such as SAP, AS400, ASI, Vending Portal, Salesforce, and Tableau.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customer contacts to ensure solution retention.
Communicate with key customer personnel to resolve issues related to inventory management solutions.
Drives product expansion through spot buy and incremental solution growth.
