Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. in Dallas, TX seeks an Inventory Management Solution Consultant (IMSC-OEM) to drive revenue through OEM solution opportunities, discovery, recommendations, and installation oversight for OEM customers.

You will work with OEM inventory management solutions (VMI, CribMaster, Kanban, Lean, 5S) and lead customer discovery, solution discovery, and signings with sales partners. This role requires 75% travel and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of customer service experience.
• Minimum three years supporting value-added solutions / inventory/OEM programs.
• Knowledge of OEM product lines/services & OEM related experience.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred.
• Driver of execution; ability to work through complex situations.
• 3-5 years Fastener experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enable sales growth by managing new solution opportunities from discovery through installation oversight.
• Proficient with OEM inventory management solutions including vending, VMI, VMI Inclusion, CribMaster Software, Kanban, Lean, 5S.
• Partner with stakeholders to meet customer needs through data collection, solutions discovery and relationship building.
• Conduct detailed discovery on customer needs, including data collection, process improvements, pricing concerns and cost savings.
• Ensure recommended solutions address specific customer needs and provide financial justifications.
• Work with sales partners to obtain signed agreements in a timely manner.
• Shorten discovery and recommendation timelines while maintaining quality, to speed implementations.
