Job summary

Westat, Inc. is seeking Field Interviewers to participate in the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS), conducting in-person and video interviews with adults from nationally representative households.

You will travel to assigned areas, schedule and complete interviews, and transmit data daily while adhering to confidentiality requirements. This part-time, non-exempt position involves travel to training in January 2027 and to data collection sites throughout the year; a reliable vehicle and the

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older (or an emancipated minor) with the ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements to protect project information.
• Be available to complete mandatory web-based home study training and in-person training schedules in January 2027.
• Be able to travel to mandatory in-person training and perform travel as needed.
• Be available to complete additional training activities including a post-training home study.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adults in households.
• Contact households in-person or by phone to introduce MEPS and gain cooperation; set appointments and complete interviews.
• Transmit electronic data daily on work days and complete required administrative paperwork.
