Job summary

Nextlink Internet is seeking a Field Installation Technician in Lincoln, NE to perform on-site installations, service visits and troubleshooting at customer locations. The role requires strong customer service, technical ability and the stamina to work outdoors.

You will install equipment, mount hardware, run Cat5e or fiber cables, configure routers and update databases. A high school diploma or GED is required; you must pass drug screening and a background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background check.
• Professional appearance and strong customer service.
• Willing to work outdoors and lift heavy equipment up to about 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys to evaluate serviceability.
• Install Internet equipment at customer locations.
• Configure routers and customer devices for Internet access.
• Troubleshoot service calls and restore connectivity.
• Update customer databases and records.
