Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a Field Technician to perform on-site maintenance and repair on compressor packages and gas processing equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical controls, executing PMs/overhauls, and coordinating with customers in the Midland area.

Strong problem-solving, safety focus, and ability to work independently or in teams are essential. Experience with Waukesha, Ariel, or Caterpillar engines and NEC knowledge are a plus; valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• SSE program completion with minimum 2 years in similar role.
• Familiarity with NEC and gas processes.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and electric starters and other compression-related systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate, and perform job activities per Kodiak procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical motor controls.
• Perform PM to standard and major maintenance overhauls.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical systems and equipment.
• Maintain customer relationships and communicate with area managers.
• Analyze parts inventory and coordinate with Supply Chain for parts.
• Work overtime and be on-call as required.
• Complete reports per operating procedures.
