Job summary

Vantage Consulting is seeking a Field Maintenance Engineer to service Southwest sites, performing routine inspections, diagnostics, and commissioning of telemetry and flow instrumentation. You will work with engineering teams to upgrade systems and optimise efficiency, while maintaining safe practices and detailed records.

The role requires strong experience with instrumentation and electrical systems, plus the ability to read schematics and communicate complex technical information clearly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with instrumentation systems in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, circuits, and control panels.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication of technical information to customers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on telemetry, flow and level systems.
• Troubleshooting faults and carrying out repairs.
• Program, configure, and commission telemetry and flow instrumentation.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system upgrades and optimise operational efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
