Job summary

Premier Power Maintenance is seeking a Field Service Technician to support testing, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of electrical power equipment at customer facilities. You will work with experienced technicians on equipment used in power transmission, distribution, and generation, with hands-on learning and growth opportunities.

The role requires travel, overtime, and on-call rotations as needed, and emphasizes safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Technology, military experience, or related training is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in electrical systems.
• Ability to learn technical testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and data entry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules as project needs require.
• Doble DTAF and PowerDB experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing, maintenance, commissioning, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Support mechanical and electrical work on power transmission and distribution systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documents.
• Help troubleshoot equipment issues and identify corrective actions.
• Participate in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair projects.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and service vehicles in clean and organized condition.
• Assist with transformer testing, insulation resistance, winding resistance, power factor, and related testing.
• Assist with cable testing and diagnostic procedures.
• Support circuit breaker testing and maintenance activities.
• Record test data and assist with technical documentation and reporting.
• Learn industry testing procedures and best practices through hands-on training.
