Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a skilled electrician/instrumentation technician to inspect, maintain, repair, and install electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities include preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrating instrumentation, programming drives, restoring PLC/SCADA data, documenting work, and training peers, while following safety and code requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Four years of on-the-job electrician/instrumentation experience.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Knowledge of pumps, blowers, compressors and other electrically driven equipment.
• Electrical Journeyman’s License required; other licensed trades considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Inspects electrical and instrumentation systems and troubleshoots issues.
• Installs and replaces electrical systems and fixtures.
• Calibrates instrumentation and controls.
• Programs variable frequency drives and tunes controllers.
• Downloads PLC/SCADA data and diagnoses communication problems.
• Documents results and prepares labor and material estimates.
• Operates vehicles and trains peers.
• Adheres to safety procedures and building codes.
• Performs cleanup and housekeeping.
