Job summary

Take2 Consulting, LLC seeks an Installation Engineer to support the VA's EHRM deployment and training project. The role blends hands-on technical work with team leadership and customer service, operating with limited supervision.

The position involves traveling 1–4 weeks at a time and supervising onsite technicians to ensure smooth installation, imaging, network setup, and ongoing issue resolution at training sites, including the Tacoma VA Medical Center.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing, analyzing, configuring, or troubleshooting IP networks.
• Experience managing technical teams.
• Wi‑Fi and network hardware installation, configuration and management.
• Hardware/software support including imaging and break/fix.
• Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; report writing.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Bachelor's in CS/IS/IT (or equivalent) + 5 years total experience, or 13 years total experience without a degree.

Responsibilities

• Set up training-site equipment: VA image, AD access, network/Wi‑Fi, and peripheral installation at each seat.
• Oversee onsite technicians supporting installation and ongoing issue resolution.
• Manage baseband and internet connectivity, and Wi‑Fi hardware, at each site.
• Handle hardware start-up, imaging, configuration, naming, break/fix, and issue resolution.
• Manage equipment inventory and ensure connectivity through all training sessions.
• Provide installation support and ongoing issue resolution, including onsite tasks as needed.
