Job summary

American Management Group, LLC (AMG) is seeking a Senior Installation Field Engineer to lead onsite technicians in VA EHR deployment projects. You will manage equipment setup at training sites, ensure current VA images, and handle security scans and AD configurations for training use.

The role requires traveling 50% of the time, strong customer service, and deep experience with IP networks, Wi‑Fi and network hardware.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, analyzing, configuring, or troubleshooting IP networks.
• Experience in managing technical teams.
• Experience with Wi‑Fi hardware - Configuration, Management, and Issue Resolution.
• Experience with network hardware - Install, Configuration, Management, and Issue Resolution.
• Able to travel around sites and transport equipment; physically capable.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or 18 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of onsite technicians supporting the VA’s EHR deployment and training project.
• Set up equipment at training sites and verify VA computer images.
• Ensure devices are ready for security scans and updates and manage AD for training use.
• Configure network connectivity in training rooms and install peripherals at training seats.
• Manage baseband and Internet connectivity configurations and Wi‑Fi hardware.
• Provide onsite support during installations and ongoing issue resolution.
