Job summary

Take2 Consulting, LLC is seeking a Field Deployment Technician to support VA's EHR deployment and training. The role involves deploying, imaging, and setting up Windows PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and network connections at VA medical centers and offsite training locations.

It requires hands-on equipment setup, configuration, and strong customer service, with on-site work and some evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year imaging and installing computer equipment.
Unpack, move, install pallets of IT equipment up to 50 pounds.
Personal transportation available during work hours.
Experience with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, system imaging, hardware break-fix, upgrades, deployments, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Deploy, image, and set up equipment including PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and network connections.
Unbox, install, configure, and remove equipment, and re-pack hardware for shipment.
Set up equipment at training sites, verify current VA images, and prepare systems for security scans and updates.
Configure network connectivity in training rooms and install peripherals at each seating location.
Transport equipment to multiple locations, lift up to 50 pounds, and maneuver carts.
Perform routine system administration tasks and maintain logs.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support imaging, and perform hardware repairs or upgrades.
