Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in Arkansas is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment onsite, travel-ready and customer-focused.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, perform repairs, train customers, and maintain documentation while upholding safety and quality standards. A strong electronics background and fluent English are required, with a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years related experience or Associates or bachelor’s degree in related program preferred.
• Knowledge of and professional experience with electronic and electro-mechanical engineering, RF Energy producing devices and electronic cooling systems.
• Proficient in the use of Test Equipment used for verification and calibration of electronic equipment.
• Basic networking skills to integrate the machine onto the customer server
• Knowledge of and professional technical experience with PC based systems
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Provide highly visible customer support through on-site installation of linear accelerators and imaging systems, as well as overseeing necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment.
• Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
• Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects and interpret customers’ needs and facilitate resolution.
• Support a wide range of company products according to technical documentation and guidelines to ensure customer equipment operates properly.
• Demonstrate equipment operation and specification according to Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP).
• Advise customers on spare parts or service requests to ensure operations.
• Input detailed records of installation and upgrade work into company information systems.
• Maintain professionalism and safety per VMS guidelines and customer regulations.
• Perform parts inventory and ordering for installation, including replenishing spare parts kit and returns.
• Maintain technical documentation regarding operating characteristics and design factors.
• Report time sheets, expenses, and data for statistics.
• Complete all required installation documentation and update data for tracking purposes.
• Use escalation procedures and request technical assistance as needed.
