Field Installation Engineer – Linear Accelerators

Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a field service engineer to perform on-site installation and service of medical imaging and accelerator systems. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair complex equipment while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires strong technical knowledge and excellent customer-facing skills. Applicants should be able to travel as needed, maintain documentation, and train customers on system operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-4 years related experience or Associates or bachelor's degree in related program preferred
• Knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical engineering, RF energy producing devices and electronic cooling systems.
• Proficient in test equipment used for verification and calibration of electronic equipment.
• Close to airport
• Basic networking skills to integrate the machine onto the customer server
• Knowledge of PC based systems
• Customer focused attitude
• Articulate and skilled in interpersonal communication
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Provide highly visible customer support through the on-site installation of linear accelerators and imaging systems, and oversee diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment.
• Check out and approve operational quality of system equipment.
• Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
• Serve as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
• Demonstrate to customer equipment operation and specification according to Customer Acceptance Procedure (CAP).
• Advise customers on where to find Customer Technical Bulletins and why they are important. Input installation and upgrade records into company information systems.
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism and safety according to guidelines and regulations.
• Perform parts inventory and ordering for assigned installation and replenish spare parts as needed.
• Maintain technical documentation regarding operating characteristics and performance of products to improve installation efficiency.
