Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to provide end-to-end testing, startup, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects at customer locations or Rental Services depots.

The role requires 2–5 years of commercial HVAC experience, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with MS Office and handheld devices. EPA certification is preferred. Safety and physical requirements are essential for field work.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in commercial HVAC or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld devices (smartphone, iPad).
• Must have valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with clean record.
• EPA Certification preferred (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).

Responsibilities

• End to end testing, startup, commissioning and servicing on assigned projects.
• Serve as direct customer contact; service products and equipment on site or at Rental Services depot; ensure customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand on-site installation and repair requirements; review building layouts and plan materials and scheduling.
• Use software and technology along with hand-tools to diagnose and repair units per blueprints or engineering specs.
• Safely enforce safety standards and maintain security of company assets; flexible to work overtime or overnight when required.
