Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. in North America is seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyman Mechanic I to support our growing service operations. You will handle startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and aftermarket service for residential and ducted chillers, AHUs, and RTUs, with an emphasis on safety and quality.

We provide STA training, a company vehicle, tools and uniforms, and opportunities to advance within a collaborative, results-driven team. Travel may be 10–20% to support branch customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on residential and/or ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHUs or RTUs.
• Must be a member or willing to join the UA Plbg & Pipe Fitting union.
• EPA refrigerant license and valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to travel 10%–20% to support branch customers.

Responsibilities

• Startup, commissioning, trouble shooting and aftermarket service for HVAC systems.
• Provide quotes and recommendations to improve facility efficiency.
• Collaborate with local market mechanics and maintain safety standards.
