Job summary

Pearce Services seeks an HSE Specialist to advance health, safety, and environmental objectives across Solar, ESS, UPS, Battery, Wind, and EV operations. You will partner with operational teams to strengthen safety performance, focusing on electrical and driver safety, with extensive travel across the United States.

You will implement and continuously improve HSE programs, conduct field audits, investigate incidents, identify risks, and deliver training to employees and leaders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HSE, safety coordination, or related safety experience, preferably supporting field-service operations.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and hazards relevant to field operations.
• Experience supporting or managing driver and vehicle safety programs, including incident prevention and corrective actions.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, root-cause analysis, field audits, safety inspections, and corrective action tracking.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, federal, and state HSE regulations; Cal/OSHA familiarity preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and support HSE programs, procedures, policies, and safety initiatives.
• Experience delivering safety training to field employees, technicians, supervisors, and operational leaders.
• Ability to analyze HSE metrics and incident trends and translate findings into preventive actions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coach, influence, and build credibility at all levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Establish, monitor, and achieve safety objectives and performance metrics with HSE and Operations leadership.
• Promote a safety culture focused on zero harm, electrical safety, safe work practices, and vehicle incident prevention.
• Coach operational leaders, managers, supervisors, and field technicians on HSE expectations and safety standards.
• Conduct field safety audits, inspections, and observations to evaluate compliance with policies, customer requirements, and regulations.
• Identify gaps in electrical safety, driver safety, and field HSE practices and develop corrective action plans.
• Lead and support investigations involving injuries, electrical incidents, vehicle incidents, near misses, and other safety events.
• Perform root-cause analysis and partner with operations to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Track and report injuries, illnesses, incidents, corrective actions, and HSE performance metrics with proper documentation.
• Manage and support the driver safety program, analyzing vehicle-related incidents and reducing preventable incidents.
• Develop and deliver HSE training focused on electrical hazards, safe driving, and field safety.
• Develop and update HSE policies, procedures, training materials, and safety communications.
• Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and other HSE communications.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to align with customer HSE requirements.
• Monitor HSE performance trends and advise leadership on risks and improvement opportunities.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of HSE management systems and reporting processes.
• Travel to project sites throughout the United States to provide hands-on HSE support.
